After 20+ years in the industry, Bob set out to found Bob Thompson Financial, providing customized financial advice that meets the unique needs of each individual and business he works with. His approach goes beyond just numbers—Bob focuses on understanding what matters most to his clients and delivering practical, personalized solutions.

What sets Bob apart is his hands-on experience as both a past business owner and financial advisor. His unique perspective allows him to offer well-rounded advice, helping business owners and families navigate complex financial decisions with confidence. Family is a core part of Bob’s life and business. His children, Katelyn and Justin, have joined the team at Bob Thompson Financial, continuing the family’s commitment to building lasting relationships with clients and delivering trusted financial advice. Together, they are proud to offer a personalized and professional service that puts clients’ needs first.

Outside of the office, Bob enjoys spending time with his family, whether they’re out on the golf course together or exploring new camping spots. He believes that life is about creating memorable experiences, and that same philosophy drives how he helps his clients achieve their financial goals.

As Junior Partner at Bob Thompson Financial, Katelyn Thompson is dedicated to helping clients achieve their financial goals through personalized solutions. Recently licensed after completing the IFSE Life Licensing program, she is currently working on her Canadian Securities Course to further expand her expertise at the company. Katelyn’s commitment to continuous learning is essential to supporting the firm’s mission of delivering exceptional, results-driven financial guidance.

Having spent seven years coaching power tumbling athletes, including guiding her brother to multiple national championships, Katelyn has a proven track record of leadership and mentorship. As Program Director for Trampoline and Gymnastics at QBGC, she coached athletes at provincial, national, and international competitions, including representing Team Canada at World Cups and World Championships. Her experience in coaching elite athletes has sharpened her skills in leadership, strategy, and relationship-building—qualities that she now applies to her role at Bob Thompson Financial.

Katelyn’s ability to connect with clients, coupled with her passion for delivering exceptional service, makes her a valuable asset to the firm’s team. Outside of work, Katelyn remains involved in the competitive sports world, enjoys staying active, and loves spending time with her family.

With over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, Della Thompson brings extensive administrative expertise to Bob Thompson Financial. As Office Manager, she is instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of the firm, overseeing daily tasks with precision and care. Her natural warmth and organizational skills support the firm’s ability to provide a personalized, high-quality experience for each client, making sure they feel both valued and well-supported.

Della is deeply committed to fostering strong relationships with clients and ensuring the office runs efficiently. Her leadership in the administrative side of the business allows the firm to deliver the exceptional service that clients have come to expect at Bob Thompson Financial.

When she’s not managing the office, Della enjoys spending time with her family, whether her and Bob are cheering on their children in competitive sports or enjoying time outdoors. From camping trips and walking the family dogs to playing a round of golf with Bob, Della makes the most of every moment spent with her loved ones.

Justin Thompson is a Junior Partner at Bob Thompson Financial, where he is actively working to build his expertise in the financial services industry. He is currently completing the IFSE Life Licensing program to further his qualifications, while also finalizing his Bachelor of Science degree with a specialization in Kinesiology from Queen’s University.

Prior to his role at the firm, Justin was the Women’s Artistic Program Director at Quinte Bay Gymnastics, where he coached athletes at all levels. His leadership in the competitive sports world helped shape his discipline, focus, and ability to mentor others—skills that now serve him well in his professional career.

A decorated athlete, Justin has won multiple national power tumbling championships and held the title of #1 power tumbler in Canada for several years. He has represented Team Canada in international competitions and is now training in Men’s Artistic Gymnastics with aspirations to compete at an elite level internationally.
